I think teenage girls who think they need to lose weight should be comfortable with themselves. They shouldn't care what other people think about them.I'm not skinny but I'm not fat,and people talk about me.I just ignore what they say and go about my business.

People try too hard to meet society's standards of looks! You should feel more empowered and true being yourself! everyone is beautiful in their own way, I wish they could see that! An original is always worth more than a duplicate!

omg! this is perfect!!! teens need this especially girls cause if they think they're fat they'll puke up they're food. thats not the solution. i was addicted to diet pills. biiig struggle. i still am a bit. i have a bottle thats not empty i have to get rid of, and when i don't take them i'm like "i need them , i need them!!" and i just..i lose it, i sound so crazy but i don't care, i want you to hear me so you don't end up down the same road as me. i'm 16 years old, 5 foot 9 and a few short months ago i was 220 pounds. now im like 200 or 190-something,but i don't want you to go down the same path as me. take this seriously. be happy with what you look like. someone would probably die to be in your body. i got really sick taking my first two bottles of pill, then my more recent two made me even more sick to the point i could get out of bed. don't follow my foot steps. write me for anything. any questions, please. thankyou, jen~

Don't yoyo diet like me it only makes your metabolism slower and harder to lose weight. I am right on the borderline of being overweight, and I freak about it.

charlene posted on Thu, Jul 10, 2008
losing weight takes patience and will power, I've done it. but i guess the easiest way would be to stop eating anything with granulated sugar and white flour, dont eat after 7 pm and do sit ups if u can't get to a gym >it worked for me<

It is hard for girls nowadays to try and lose weight. All the pressure put on us through the media, and all the pressure at school. It's not fun to feel inferior to all the skinny girls. With all the cute guys. And when they walk their thighs don't rub together. All humans are social creatures to some extent. It becomes difficult to have a social life and be overweight. trust me I know. Whenever I'm talking to someone all I can think about is what they think when they look at me. I'm 14. 5'2" and 195 pounds. I have lots of buddies but I get shy. The thoughts always racing through my head, " I'm fat, I'm fat, I'm seriosly huge. How can they talk to me w/out laughing??" It's a constant battle between weight, self-esteem, and mean people. They only make it ten times worse. I've tried so many things to try and get into shape. It's hard now. With the laziness of society. Televisions and computers, all these so called "conveniences" shortening the life spans of Americans. We really do need to wake up. But we really can't trust all these infomercials and diet pills. If they really cared about the welfare of America, why are all they're products so expensive? $50 for 30 diet pills that curb your appetite and "burn carbs" at the same time??? Yeah right. America needs an informer. Someone to stand up and say, you don't need these diet pills, you don't need to throw up, you don't need to fast to lose weight. You need will, and you need determination to lose weight. You need to motivate yourself to get off that couch and walk, jog, swim, get your heart pumping and keep on keepin on to shed those pounds. Have realistic goals and keep raising the bar. Walk for 30 minutes everyday this month. Next month walk for an hour a day. Settle for one pint of ice cream for the next two weeks. Or only one chocolate bar to last you through your sugar craving. (maybe three at most for the time of the month.) Understand that it won't happen overnight. Don't lose hope because those love handles didn't go away over the weekend. Oer that you didn't lose a whole pant size over the week. And most of all have someone to help motivate you. Your best friend, your parents, your gramma. Anyone to say, "Hey you look great, I thought it was impossible for you to look any more beautiful than you did when I first met you. Keep it up!" And always remember, you ARE beautiful.

A proper diet of foods high in fiber; like fruits and vegtables, 30 minutes to an hour of cardio activity a day, 1 hour of strenght training a week, and 8 hours of sleep each night works! I lost 10 pounds and now weigh 115 and have a 23 inch waist!
